Responsibilities
We're looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join our platform engineering team. You'll own two interconnected workstreams: building the mobile version of our AI Platform (a collaborative, multi-threaded development environment currently shipping as a desktop app), and supporting mobile capabilities.
This is a high-ownership role with real product impact. You'll be working alongside a globally distributed team of platform engineers across the US, Europe, and South America.

  • Build the mobile shell for the AI Platform - a Slack-meets-Cursor development environment, currently live on desktop (Tauri/CEF)
  • Work from a shared React/TypeScript frontend and extend it into a production-quality React Native app
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to translate desktop interaction patterns into native mobile UX
  • Own the mobile architecture end-to-end: state management, routing, API integration, and the native layer
  • Contribute to and maintain our React Native OTA update infrastructure, built on the Module Federation 2.0 Runtime API
  • Support Metro-based OTA implementation including download/download-only modes, mandatory updates, rollback flows, and update metrics

Requirements

  • 5+ years of mobile engineering experience with React Native
  • Strong cross-platform development skills - iOS and Android
  • Hands-on experience with Metro and/or Re.Pack (Webpack/RSPack-based React Native bundling)
  • Experience with Expo (managed and/or bare workflow)
  • Familiarity with OTA update mechanisms in React Native (Expo Updates, Hot Updater, or similar)
  • Strong async communication skills - we are fully remote and globally distributed

Would Be a Plus

  • Experience with Micro-Frontend architecture in React Native contexts
  • Familiarity with Module Federation (webpack/Re.Pack-based)
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a developer tooling or SDK product
  • Exposure to Rust or native module development
