Full-Stack Platform Engineer

Remote

About company

Valor Software is a company founded by developers for developers. Since 2013, we’ve been building high-quality digital solutions for clients worldwide, with a strong focus on technical excellence and engineering expertise. From day one, we hire engineers for engineering judgment, system thinking, and technical depth - not just frameworks and keywords.

Our role isn’t just to deliver features. We extend our clients’ businesses with real expertise - through architecture that scales, technology choices that age well, and engineering decisions that hold up under growth, pressure, and change. Valor is a place for developers who want to be valued for how they think, not just how fast they ship.

About Project

Our client offers a high-performance deployment and management platform tailored for modern engineering teams. The platform unifies the essential tools for building, testing, and launching applications, enabling teams to release new features in seconds. By focusing on improving development team velocity, reducing infrastructure costs, and enhancing end-user experiences, the platform helps organizations deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the BFF layer on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway) that serves the client’s frontend applications
  • Build and maintain frontend features and shared React components used across the client’s applications
  • Write and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform / OpenTofu
  • Build NX generators and IDP automations that scaffold new applications from standardized templates
  • Develop, version and publish shared libraries and packages used across multiple product teams
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines in Harness
  • Configure and maintain edge delivery and caching with Fastly
  • Monitor and debug production systems with CloudWatch
  • Improve the developer experience for engineers who build on the platform: templates, defaults, documentation and upgrade paths
  • Share knowledge in both directions, raise issues early and pass product insights back to us

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience across frontend, backend and infrastructure
  • Strong production experience with TypeScript / JavaScript and Node.js
  • Experience building BFF or API layers for frontend applications
  • Experience building and publishing libraries and packages, including semver, changelogs, release automation and backward compatibility
  • Hands-on infrastructure automation experience (Terraform or OpenTofu preferred)
  • Experience with AWS serverless: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch
  • Experience working in monorepos (NX preferred)
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid frontend fundamentals with React and modern bundlers
  • Comfort working with clients: communicating clearly, managing expectations and raising risks early
  • Self-directed and comfortable owning your work end to end
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Comfortable working remotely with strong overlap with US time zones (LATAM preferred)

Strong Bonus Points

  • Experience writing NX generators, executors or plugins
  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures (Module Federation)
  • Experience with Rspack / Rsbuild or Webpack internals
  • Experience with Harness CI/CD
  • Experience with Fastly or other CDN / edge platforms
  • Experience building internal developer platforms, golden paths or scaffolding tools (e.g., Backstage, Plop, custom CLIs)
  • Previous consulting, agency or embedded work in enterprise environments
  • Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools (Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)

What We Offer

  • Strategic role in a fast-growing international company
  • Remote-first culture with flexible working hours
  • Competitive compensation via B2B contract
  • Opportunity to influence technical direction and contribute to open source
  • Supportive and agile team culture where your ideas matter
